Raver32 writes “Yahoo Inc. Chairman Terry Semel ended his six-year tenure as chief executive officer today and will hand over the reins to co-founder Jerry Yang in the Internet icon’s latest attempt to regain investor confidence. Semel, 64, will remain chairman in a non-executive role. Besides naming Yang as its new CEO, Yahoo appointed Susan Decker as its president. Decker, who had been recently promoted to oversee Yahoo’s advertising operations, had widely been seen as Semel’s heir apparent.”

The great thing about mixing it up with the SEO crowd is that they prove your point over and over and over again… first they tried to kidnap my search result on Google, now they are buying adwords to attack Mahalo (do a search for Mahalo.com on Google and you’ll see ads like the one below).
The more SEOs fight you the more you know you’re doing the right thing for the average web user. SEO is going to be looked at as a footnote in the history of the internet and search–a time we’ll want to forget.

Rarely Greys writes “A major Yahoo XSS flaw makes it possible to take over any Yahoo user’s account, including their mail, instant messaging, photos, etc. This is not a rare occurrence. So why aren’t web sites doing more to protect their users? It’s looking like most web developers don’t even know or care about XSS.”
