Microsoft has done it again — it came out with a quick-and-dirty product and then followed up with a better version. The new Zune portable media player models that debuted this week look better, have better wireless features and share songs in a more useful way than last year’s moderately successful model. Still, Apple doesn’t need to worry about losing its dominance in music players. The newest iPods and the iPhone have better features than the new Zune models. Version 2.0 serves the purpose of filling Microsoft’s product line and giving the Zune its own unique identity.
